SUNDAY SCHOOL

I hadn't been for a few months but I went to my old Sunday School class the other day. I told them I now had 480 days clean and sober.
One shouted 'Hallelujah!" and another "Praise the Lord!" and that made me feel good.
But another lady there looked at me very kindly and said "Jesus already took care of all that at the cross for you."
I don't know what thats supposed to mean to me.
This is why I don't go very often.

Seriously? What IS that supposed to mean? Jesus took your addiction for you? So, now, he is an addict in the afterlife?

Go Jesus. I am sorry if I am being irreverant but you deserve the kudos and not the nonsensical proleytising. Ridiculous.

Oh, and no, I can't spell. :)

I don't get it either. So Jesus gets credit for all your hard work? I don't think so.

WOW SKIPPY!
Really, I have a little (very faint) idea what she meant, I just have a hard time (very hard time) hanging my hat on it.
Hi Skip!

Hi Annie...Its good to know I'm not the only one.
I give credit to my NA group. They can credit whoever or whatever they want.
Hey! I'm coming up on 500 days!

Tim, I can hardly blame her. I know I'm going to hear stuff like that when I go there. She just doesn't know how hard it can be.
It does crack me up a bit when they give glory over cancer being removed....FROM A DOG!
I mean, im like dogs alright, and dogs make folks pretty happy...I just can't figure out who to be happier for...the dog...or its owner!

Lily!!! Did you get a haircut? Good to see your mums doing fine.

What DOES that mean? I'm stymied, flabbergasted, nonplussed. Is she telling you to go ahead and indulge, or just that you shouldn't worry about it?

Very odd.

Still, congratulations.

Now, please go to my blog and watch the video I put up. Then, if you like it, spread it far and wide.

Smooches.

Hey old buddy,
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment(s). But you took on a harder edge this time. Did you eat too much turkey?

Gobble gobble...

I like the kid who cried "Hallelujah!" That would feel good. Maybe I'll go back to my old Sunday school class at the Methodist Church in Littlestown, PA. It's where I learned all my best swear words.

Kudos Bulletholes!
