SHIPS

See the painting of the ship over the mantle? I have this painting, passed down to me from my Grandfather. I've always loved the painting. The ship itself is not pretty, its like a workingmans ship.
Its very cool to run across this on the internet.
The model is Madge Evans, and the date the picture was taken is 1930.
I wish I knew who the artist was.

You can see it better here.

Addendum: The artist is GG Reynaud. Thank you Gina.

(Your word verification now says: "Please prove you're not a robot". This makes me laugh. I feel robotic at times.)

"I also have a tapestry that I saw in a porn movie one time" was my first laugh of the day! (And in Holland, it's now almost 6pm.)

Regarding the painting of ship - it's called Homeward Bound by Hans von Peterson...not GG Reynaud. Here's a link:

Thanks anonymous. That makes more send, because none of Reynauds other works are anything like the ship. Petersons are. Lots of water and clouds. But mine is signed by Reynaud in the bottom right. Counterfeit?
